  • No, we do not allow guests to bring their pets to Elk Lake Lodge.

  • You can catch three different types of fish on our preserve: the Dix Heritage strain of Brook Trout at Elk Lake, and both Lake Trout and Landlocked Salmon at Clear Pond.

  • No outside boats are permitted in our waters. Only our provided rowboats, canoes, and kayaks are allowed.

  • Guests are welcome to bring their own beer and wine to Elk Lake Lodge. We also offer a selection of local beers, non-alcoholic options, and a small assortment of red and white wines.

  • Yes, guests are welcome to bring their own lifejackets; however, we do provide lifejackets and encourage guests to use ours for safety and convenience

  • No, Elk Lake Lodge does not have a minimum night stay. You're welcome to enjoy even just a single relaxing day with us.

  • Elk Lake is a shallow, 600-acre man-made lake with a maximum depth of 28 feet, remaining relatively shallow throughout. Clear Pond is a 200-acre glacially-formed lake, reaching depths of up to 98 feet.

  • Day visitors are not permitted unless visiting during designated times as part of our 'Spend the Day with Us' program which is by reservation.

  • Elk Lake Lodge offers limited connectivity. We do have Wi-Fi, but it is only available within the main lodge. There is no cell service on the property, so we recommend enabling Wi-Fi calling and texting on your mobile device to stay connected during your stay.

  • Absolutely. Elk Lake Lodge is ideal for both couples seeking a peaceful, romantic getaway and families looking for quality time together in nature. With miles of trails, access to the lake, and a relaxed, screen-free atmosphere, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy."

  • Elk Lake Lodge is open seasonally, typically six months from late spring through early fall, due to our cottages not being winterized.

  • Yes! Elk Lake Lodge has hosted many family gatherings and large groups. Just give us a call ahead of time to make arrangements, and get ready to have lots of fun together!

  • Elk Lake Lodge comfortably accommodates up to 48 people. While it’s possible to host a slightly larger group with special arrangements, 48 is our recommended maximum for the best experience.

  • Tenting is not a typical activity we allow at Elk Lake Lodge, especially for guests planning to spend the night. Our accommodations are focused on providing comfortable indoor lodging.
