With a history going back nearly 120 years, Elk Lake Lodge’s is a special place for many families in the north and around the world. Some of our guests have been coming to stay at the lodge for decades. Our lodge was built over 100 years ago with timber from the Preserve's forests. In the lodge you can see the giant hand hewn beams from another era. We minimize our footprint today with solar power, water from our aquifers and largely organic food harvested from local farms in season. You can catch a heritage strain of trout or land locked salmon in our private lakes and the chef will prepare them for breakfast or dinner. We are proud to have no TV, cell and internet is minimal and only provided at the Main Lodge.

Guests are the sole visitors to this vast landscape and return year after year.
