For the last few years, we have instituted a tea service in the living room from 1 pm to 5 pm, after which we move into hors d'oeuvre mode before dinner. Thanks to our creative Assistant Manager and Tea Sommelier, Diane Berube, this has become one of the most popular lodge amenities. After a day of robust outdoor activities, it is great to kick back and taste our freshly baked treats, and teas and other beverages of choice. Diane worked with SensibiliTeas in Glens Falls to create some special tea blends for us. The tea blends are exquisite and graciously presented by our staff. Diane Berube's thoughts on the tea service are included here:
Tea time at Elk Lake Lodge embodies the essence of the Lodge experience...relaxation, rejuvenation and healthy living, which are integral to our wilderness experience. Tea is served in the Main Lodge every afternoon, where our guests are served coffee, lemonade, fruit infused water from our Artesian well and, of course, tea. "Assam 1947," a full-bodied black tea, and Elk Lake Lodge's special blend, "Deep Forest Berries," are just two of the new offerings. Whatever your preference, allow us to offer you a cup of tea while gazing into the crackling fire, daydreaming in an Adirondack chair on the front porch, or laughing with friends at your cozy cottage.
